Love From Afar

Love From Afar

As smoothly as the ink flows from my pen,
I long for the words to form from my lips
everything my mind wants to say
and my heart aches to tell you.

As long as the ocean has kissed the sand,
I’ve wanted to taste the salt from your lips
in an eternal kiss of passion.

As long as the moon caresses our dreams,
my desire to know your every thought,
every fear, every facet of your being,
grows with each breath I take.

As sure as the sun will rise tomorrow,
we will share our bodies and our souls
the very day me meet.
