I knew we would get married

by Pat
(Oklahoma, USA)

The first time I saw my husband to be I was at a party at the end of my senior year of high school. He was friends with the host and I saw him across the room, with a ceiling lamp above him. He looked like an angel to me. Right then I had the thought, "I could marry that guy". I didn't know his name or anything about him, and he seemed too old for me so I didn't even talk to him.

Turned out his friend came over and talked to me and my friends, and through his friend, I ended up getting to know my husband. 31 years later we are still married and have three wonderful children.
