Date Gone Wrong

We have all had our experiences with a first (or second) date gone wrong. You know how it goes; you finally get a date and you get pretty excited about it. You tell all your friends and start planning what you’re going to wear, hell; you may even buy a new outfit (at least a new shirt). You plan on where you’re going to go and in some cases even what you’re going to talk about.

The day finally arrives and you’ve got your best game face on. Things are going pretty smooth and you’re really digging this person (so far.) First date, maybe a second date and then BAM! They say something or do something that makes you feel like you’ve just been kicked in the stomach with a steel toed boot so hard that you can’t even respond to the absurdity that you have just witnessed.

You, my friend, have just encountered a first date gone wrong. You’re upset and now wondering how in the world you can manage your escape. There are so many people out there who haven’t a clue on proper dating etiquette. They don’t understand the importance of making a good impression and some people are just plain ignorant.

Deal breakers, dating disasters, first date gone wrong, call them what you may, they truly make you wonder How could I have been attracted to this person? Some of which can even have you questioning whether you want to jump back on that saddle and try it again. Of course, once you get over the shock of it all and can laugh about it, it usually makes for one hell of a story!

Prior to meeting my fiancé, I encountered many odd characters in my dating experiences. They left me contemplating if I was ever going to find someone “normal.” Normal to my standards any way.

The summer before I met Corey, I dated quite a bit. However, I can honestly say I never encountered quite a deal breaker such as this before!
