Afraid of Love

I fear I will do it again.
I try to remind myself
“It’s too complicated,
too demanding,
it hurts too much!”
What if once again I fall
and continue falling
all the while enjoying
this intense feeling
that has taken over me?
What if…
the repercussions of the past
are not enough to keep me
from venturing that far?
Even more terrifying,
what if I an led there
only to take the journey alone?
